If you are considering visiting Cardiff as a family to learn English in the summer, we have the perfect course for you. We partner with another accredited school in the city centre to offer adults and junior language courses in the mornings with the option of a social programme in the afternoons for the juniors and the possibility for all the family to attend our weekend excursion.
How does this work?
All students aged 18+ study their course at a school in the city centre that does not accept junior students so parents can study in a more professional environment. All students aged 12 – 17 study their course at Peartree Languages Junior Summer School, located in the city centre (see junior courses). The junior school is approximately 10 minutes on foot from the adult school and parents can take their children to the Peartree meeting point (located very close to the adult school), before their own lessons start, ensuring that they meet the Peartree monitors to travel safely to the junior school.
After the lessons, even if the children are not taking afternoon activities, they are still offered the possibility to eat their packed lunch* with the other students at junior school and under our supervision, before parents come to collect them when their own lessons finish. If requested, junior students on family learning programmes can participate in the afternoon activities with the other international students, giving parents some extra time to relax and enjoy the city. On the weekend, it is possible for all members of the family to enjoy our weekend excursions.
*day students should bring their own packed lunch, or money for lunch, this is not provided by Peartree Languages

This course is only available while the Peartree Languages Junior Summer School is offered (July / August). If you are interested in family learning outside these dates, we will offer you an alternative programme at our year round school to meet your requirements. We do not organise accommodation for whole families, however we can provide general recommendations on accommodation options in the city.
