Private language courses are perfect for students who have a specific reason to study the language, or may wish to focus on one aspect of the language, which does not fit into the regular timetable of group classes. Courses and classes can be based on specific requirements and can also take place at times outside of the usual school hours.

One to One

This option is ideal if you would like to maximise the amount of teacher – student time in class. With a private teacher the lessons are based only on your requirements and can be focussed on improving areas that are individual to your needs. This is also a great way to increase your confidence and speaking skills.

These lessons can be centered on General English, exam skills, such as IELTS writing, communication / fluency, business or even to help you to prepare for an interview or assist you with academic skills / proofreading. Lessons can be scheduled at the convenience of the student and teacher which can be very helpful if you work full-time when the usual group classes are taking place.

In your first lesson your teacher will complete a detailed analysis of your learning objectives. This will be through a spoken interview and possibly a written assessment. A scheme of work will then be created based completely on your learning goals and the contents of each class will be noted by your teacher and checked by our academic manager to ensure you are on the correct learning path to achieve your individual aims. In this way you will make rapid progress in the shortest possible time period. You will receive instant feedback on your progress, your level and what you need to do next to improve your language skills.

It is possible to share your one-to-one class with a friend or family member by paying a small supplement, providing you have a similar level and the same general learning requirements.

English for Specific Purposes (ESP) and Bespoke Courses

We organise individual, small group or even full courses for students who have a specific English language objective. These classes could be in conjunction with your General English studies (as an extra course option), or as a standalone course. We can deliver these classes and courses at your location (contact us for more information), or even online. The whole course is bespoke (customised), designed by our experienced academic management team, based on your objectives and our recommendations, which are established before the lessons begin through goal setting meetings with you and possibly your sponsor / home academic institution / employer / parents, depending on the type of course.
